Backhand

The quintessentially English indoor Sportswear label has been producing 1970’s inspired apparel for 5 seasons. The name was taken from the designer’s uncle’s table tennis club, as was the inspiration behind many of the pieces, including English made duffel coats, pastel polo’s and short sleeve button collared shirts, all of which have a quality uniform feel about them. Much of the collection is still manufactured in the UK, evident in the designer’s attention to detail and fabric selection.

We chose Backhand for the store because we love the designer’s attention to detail, use of colour and the quirky English tone which runs through the collection every season. Described by the designer Jethro Marshall as ‘Artisan English Sportswear’, this is the Polo shirt, the Duffel and Stripe Scottish Merino knits at their best.
